Physician Opportunities

MMro maintains access to a nationally renowned panel of over 450 Board Certified Physicians and Allied Health Care Professionals. If you have a commitment to improving the quality and utilization of healthcare services, then MMro would like to talk with you regarding your involvement as a physician reviewer. MMro's reviewers are located throughout the country.

MMro's physician reviewers must meet specified credentialing requirements and must meet and maintain expectations for quality, credibility and timeliness of reviews provided. MMro basic selection process is based on the physicians ability to utilize judgment, evidence-based guidelines, and have knowledge of the accepted community standards of care. Physicians make final determinations regarding the medical necessity of admissions, the validity of diagnostics, procedural information, and quality of care issues.

Evidence-based Criteria: MMro reports will include recommendations based primarily on evidence-based criteria (medical research) and standards of care in the medical community.

Evidence-based criteria consists of abstracts, journals, and articles with the most recent findings, trends and procedures on specific medical issues.

Generating and using the most up-to-date criteria will create the strongest relationship between the reviewer’s decision and the question at hand.

Evidence-based criteria uses up-to-date research sources relevant to specific specialties for the evaluation of medical necessity.

Requirements for Medical Review

Physicians must have an active medical license (no sanctions), must be in an active practice, and be board-certified in a specialty recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties or the American Board Osteopathic Association.

Compensation

MMro offers a competitive hourly rate, which can be discussed at the time of application.
